Serves as a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Abramowicz is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (AGOS). He has previously served on the Board of Governors of AIUM and has been Chair of both its Bioeffects Committee and the Obstetric Community of Practice. His leadership extends to the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG), where he chaired the Bioeffects and Safety Committee and was a founding member of the 3D/4D special interest group. Additionally, he has been the United States councilor on the Board of the World Federation for Ultrasound and Biology (WFUMB), where he was Chair of the Safety Committee, treasurer, and President-elect. He also served as Chair of the Illinois Section of ACOG. At the University of Chicago, he was the Director of ObGyn Ultrasound and the founder and inaugural Director of the Fetal and Neonatal Care Center.

His expertise is further recognized through his involvement with the World Health Organization (WHO) as a member of the task force on Non-Ionizing Radiation, and his membership in the International Commission for Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).

He served as the editor of the book Ultrasound in the First Trimester, a Comprehensive Guide, first published in 2016 with a second edition released in 2021. His special interests include the prenatal diagnosis of fetal anomalies, screening for and early diagnosis of ovarian cancer, 3D/4D ultrasound technology, and the bioeffects and safety of ultrasound.

Prof. Liliana S. Voto graduated with honors at the School of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires in 1973 and obtained her PhD in Medicine at the same university in 1984. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1979 and five year later she joined the faculty of the School of Medicine of Buenos Aires University as Assistant Professor.
