Welcome

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great honor to welcome you to Honolulu for the Global Summit on Perinatal Medicine and Women’s Health hosted by Professor Ivica Zalud.

This gathering brings together ObGyn leaders from more than 15 countries alongside distinguished Hawaiian experts, a truly international exchange of knowledge, experience, and perspective united by a shared commitment to advancing the care of women, fetal, and neonatal patients.

Perinatal medicine and Women’s Health have never been more dynamic, and the questions before us have never been more consequential. It is precisely at meetings like this one — where clinicians, researchers, and educators from across the world sit together in the same room — that meaningful interchange and learning happen. The exchange of ideas across borders and health systems enriches all of us and, ultimately, the patients we serve.

Honolulu is a wonderful setting. It is a place where East and West meet naturally, where the Pacific connects continents, and where the spirit of Aloha reminds us that medicine, at its best, is an act of care extended across every boundary.

On behalf of the International Academy of Perinatal Medicine, the Society of the Fetus As a Patient and the Ian Donald Inter-University School of Medical Ultrasound I thank each of you for making the journey. Your presence here is itself a statement of purpose. Professor Zalud and his team promise warm hospitality.

All who come together for this truly special event will leave enriched.

Aloha and Mahalo!
